　　這是中國射箭在奧運會史上的第一枚金牌。這也是中國代表團在本屆奧運會上獲得的第21枚金牌。

　　張娟娟在這以前，先后遇到了“夢之隊”的選手朱賢貞和尹玉姬。尹玉姬是12箭世界記錄的保持者，她曾在射箭世界杯土耳其站的'比賽上以12箭19環的驚人成績打破了當時的世界紀錄。但是張娟娟發揮了她優異的成績，以106-101和115-109成功普級，將兩位韓國選手打敗。

　　后來，張娟娟在決賽時再次遇到了韓國選手。這次是韓國女隊領軍人物樸成賢。

　　最后一組開始了，大家的心“嘭嘭”直跳，都屏住了呼吸。第一箭，雙方都射出了10環，此時樸成賢似乎是感到了一股巨大的壓力，第二件，她只射出來了8環。而張娟娟則射出了9環的好成績。最后一箭了。樸成賢射出了10環，此時樸成賢12箭射完，109環。中國射箭歷史只看張娟娟這一箭了。無意，張娟娟這一箭決定的不止是冠軍金牌花落誰家。9環！場上比分，110-109.張娟娟憑借這1環的優勢為中國又添一枚金牌。

　　自女子射箭項目在1984年列入奧運項目后，韓國選手已經在女子射箭個人比賽中連續六屆奪冠。此次韓國女隊更是將“七連冠”作為自己來參賽的目標。但是，張娟娟，她成為了韓國“夢之隊”的終結者。她一路過關斬將，連贏三名韓國高手，為中國奧運射箭史翻開了新的篇章。
