一、教案設計思路: “There are three hundred and sixty trades,and every trade has its master.”(三百六十行;行行出狀元),面對日趨緊張的就業(yè)壓力和競爭,理想和現(xiàn)實的沖突和選擇;青年學生何去何從?通過本單元的語言學習和課堂交際活動,了解就業(yè)行情, 學會談論自己與他人的職業(yè);談論自己或他人的職業(yè)理想并陳述原因;學會看懂和書寫英文招聘啟事和求職供求信息,是教會學生初步學會生存本領,了解社會的基本要求。
二、本單元教學目標
1. 學會談論自己與他人的職業(yè);
2. 談論自己或他人將來想從事的職業(yè)并陳述原因;
3. 引導學生初步學習動詞的一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài);
4. 培養(yǎng)學生人際交往、邏輯表達及內省等多元智能;
5. 培養(yǎng)學生自主學習的學習策略和推測詞義的思維技巧。

(Teaching Procedure)Main Steps:
Step One: Warming-up Greetings
Teacher and students ask and answer freely.
Step Two:Students’ duty report:
(Make a dialogue ordering a pizza on the phone)
Step Three:A guessing game:What’s the job?
(Gestures and facial expressings/with the aid of cartoon figures)
Step Four:Form Four of Pre-task(Occupations &Working places)
Show some of their work on the screen.
Step Five: Listening and number the people in P.1a.
Qs:Who’s the reporter/the doctor/the sales assistant?
Step Six:Pair Work(Ss into pairs/groups practise the following dialogue, with the help of the pictures and key words:)
Model: A:What does he do?
B:He’s a doctor.
A:Where does he work?
B:I think he works in a hospital.
Step Seven: Presentation of “What do I want to be?”Listen and fill in the chart of 2a&2b
T:What do I do?
Ss:You are a teacher.
T:But I want to be a student again.
Ss:Why(do you want to be a student again)?
T:Because I want to be younger again.

1.Preview Section B. Finish off Exercises 1a,3a,3b in your textbook.
2.Complete Form 2 : A Group Survey.
4. Write a short passage about your ideal job and tell us the reason. ( at least 5 sentences )
