(一)知識目標:

四、教材分析
1、教材版本:
鳳凰出版傳媒集團、譯林出版社義務教育課程標準試驗教科書《牛津初中英語(八年級上)》。
2、學情分析:
本課以1999年臺灣9.21大地震為背景,男孩Timmy用第一人稱敘述了在地震中他被困瓦礫堆下的故事,給人以親身經歷的感覺。這種感覺很容易使學生傾心地去聽、去讀、去說,或為故事中人物的命運和事件的發展深刻感受遭遇地震的恐懼不安和死里逃生。
這篇課文語境真實,有利于課堂交際活動的真實開展。在教學中我設計了Do you know how to protect yourself if there is an earthquake here? 等問題,由課內延伸到課外,增大學生的知識量,拓展了學生的思維,從而達到綜合運用語言進行交際的目的。
3、教學重點:
1.了解有關地震的基本知識。
2. 通過閱讀,理解課文大意并理清事情發生的順序。
3.培養學生的閱讀技巧。
4、教學難點:
進一步理解、應用過去進行時。

【設計意圖】:讓學生通過問題閱讀來驗證對篇章的整體理解,該部分主要采用5-W設計提問,其中(7)、What did he tell himself when he was trapped ? 和 (8)、Did Timmy eat up the chocolare ? Why not ? 兩個問題的設計目的是為了教學生在面對災難時要冷靜,隨身食品不要一下吃完,而要作為維持生命的延續。

The Wenchuan earthquake
A sudden heavy earthquake hit Wenchuan at 14:28 on May 12,2008. The earthquake flattened the beautiful Wenchuan to the ground .More than 6,9000 people lost their lives and tens of thousands of people became homeless in the disaster. In pictures : People were trying their best to save trapped persons in the buildings .An old man was sitting on the ruins .Dead bodies and the injured were everywhere .A father only found his child.’s schoolbag in the ruins. Many people were crying for their lost relatives .They were in deep sorrow. PM Wen Jiabao was in a greay hurry to come to the disaster area in the fist time to guide rescue work. Lots of people donated money and blood to Wenchuan. While watching , I could not help crying. As students, we should try our best to help them .

八、教學反思
本課是一篇閱讀課,是以臺灣9.21大地震為背景,以幸存男孩Timmy的切身經歷為主線。在教學設計上主要采用情境教學法和任務型教學法。各教學環節緊緊圍繞知識目標、能力目標和情感態度目標進行展開,力求突出重點和突破難點。
本課閱讀任務分為三個階段,即任務前、任務中和任務后。任務前以情景導入來激發學生的地震圖式,引入四會內容,解決學生的語言障礙;任務中通過聽讀練習、一覽表、視頻等問題設置,并借助問答、討論、小組活動探究、復述等形式進行教學活動開展,有利于學生先整體,后細節,再整體獲取文章信息和轉化文章信息的能力,這也是對學生的閱讀技能和閱讀方法的培養,同時對單詞、短語和句子起到鞏固和提高的作用。任務后借助海地大地震和汶川大地震的真實視頻,讓學生通過視、聽來完成填空,達到對過去進行時的理解和應用,即把語法放到真實的語言環境中加以學習和鞏固,從而有效突破教學難點;使用調查統計表,通過開展小組采訪活動,培養了學生勇敢、互幫互助的團隊精神,同時也激發了學生珍愛生命及自我保護意識,使學生的情感目標再次得到升華。
本節課教學活動的設計,無論是問題設計的層次性、藝術性和真實性,還是視頻資源的合理使用、學生目標的達成情況和閱讀技能的培養等方面都取得了很好的效果。但美中不足的是本課話題稍微有些沉重,班級中有95%的學生對地震感到害怕,對學生的心理健康或多或少會產生一些影響,這就需要我在以后類似話題的教學中要借助我校心理咨詢教師對學生的心理多做一些必要的心理輔導。
