為了使學生盡快進入上課的狀態,建議分別向不同的學生提問以上的問題,也可以設置情景,引導學生編出類似的對話。
老師運用實物,幻燈片或CAI等手段復習學過的名詞,可以采用快速回答或平面圖猜測等競賽方法,由于這些是已學過的詞匯,所以應采取一些形象、生動的方法來鞏固。
老師用字母卡片或生活中像字母的東西來復習字母
讓學生排成一列或一排,每個手中拿一字母卡片,被問到的同學迅速站出來。借助這種方式可以較好地訓練學生的聽力。
學生應聽一句跟讀一句,老師強調學生對語音語調的模仿,可讓學生標上語調,先全班跟讀,再讓個體學生跟讀,可主用激勵、競賽等方法,鼓勵學生大聲朗讀,模仿到位。
引導學生找教室里的物品顏色,可以采用男女生競賽,小組競賽或Chain Drill等形式,這一步可以發揮學生的主動性,積極地使用所學知識。
老師根據相同的元音編出左邊的Chant,運用CAI,形象地展示出來,配上音樂旋律。以此來鞏固上一步驟。
老師清楚地示范一兩遍
后,放手讓學生編,然后再檢查三,四組。
把學生分成2組,一組拿著大寫字母卡片,另一組拿著小寫字母卡片,在最短的時候內找到相應的大小寫字母
讓學生思考在生活中見到的字母組合,可采用直接分組競賽也可先分組討論再競賽的方法,這個活動可在課前預習作業中布置
教師和學生準備好一套彩色大小字母卡片,隨意抽出卡片編類似于上述的對話,然后引導學生同桌或同組問答,再檢查二、三組,檢查時,可用出適當的評價.通過此方式可進一步鞏固字母及顏色的表達。
教師用CAI呈現幾面典型的未涂色的國旗,讓學生猜測其顏色,然后在worksheet上給國旗涂上正確的顏色,最后與CAI上的圖片校對一下。增強學生對國旗的認識,延伸課外知識。
讓學生拿出帶來的調色板和顏料,老師提出一個問題后,學生著手調色,并回答問題,此時需要教學一些新的顏色詞:pink , purple , grey …. 借助這種方法培養學習語言的興趣,提高動手能力,同時很好地對知識進行了延伸。
老師利用CAI或掛圖呈現一幅臥室的圖片,引導學生運用上面的句型談論臥室中的物品及顏色,可以讓學生到黑板前來指著圖片中的物品進行問答。

教師說出一種顏色的首字母,讓學生猜出這個顏色。在英語教學初級階段,游戲是一種非常有效的教學活動。
教師寫出一種顏色的首字母或中間的一個字母或結尾的字母,讓學生猜出這個顏色的整個單詞的拼寫。這樣,既可鞏固學生說顏色詞匯,又可學會拼寫顏色詞匯,同時,又體現a 、an冠詞的用法,也為這一課時中的1b鋪墊。
學生展示他們的作業- a picture of my bedroom ,學生之間進行問與答,復習P16上 5的句型 。此時教師根據學生的需要, 視學生的學習能力,可以擴充一些物品新詞匯和顏色新詞匯,如 purple, brown , orange , pink , light color , dark color 等 。
在聽音練習中,最好讓學生第一遍靜聽,有一個對內容的大致印象,第二遍再動手操作。
此項活動訓練學生拼寫顏色詞匯的能力。
教師要求學生用升、降兩種聲調朗讀26個字母,告訴學生英語中只有兩種聲調,要求學生學會用升、降兩種聲調朗讀。
此任務可為下一環節的按元音音素歸納26個字母作鋪墊。
按元音音素歸納26個字母,使學生在學習字母階段,就有音素的概念。
教師在CAI 或worksheet 上呈現左邊的練習。

此游戲可活躍課堂氣氛,也可訓練學生熟練掌握字母表中字母的先后順序。為增加難度,可讓學生說所給字母的前一個字母。
視學生學習能力,可教學I’m Okay . I’m not feeling well. I’m so-so. I feel great.
等表達方法 。
讓學生展示自編的chant給全班同學看,并念出,朗讀的時候注意節奏,可以讓學生拍手打節拍,從朗讀中感受5個元音音素。教師作點評,
鼓勵更多的同學讀出自遍的chant。
此環節使學生全面復習檢查本單元中出現的字母及單詞,讓學生圈出那些仍然不熟悉的字母或單詞,鼓勵學生通過復習前面課文內容,或請教老師、同學,或查字典等方式來解決問題。
此任務既可訓練學生的聽力,又能訓練字母的書寫,達到鞏固字母及顏色詞匯的目的。
